FELLOWSHIP

FELLOWSHIP PCA STYLE
Whether you just want to grab a cup of coffee and a sweet treat after the worship service, ride the PCA float in the Fire Muster Parade, or enjoy a picnic with friends in the church’s backyard, PCA folks like to be together to worship, work, laugh, eat and “do justice!”
PEOPLE AND PETS
Not only do we love fellowship with our fellow humans, but our pets love to come spend a Sunday in spring being blessed and loved.
PICNICS AND PARADES
What better way to start off the new church school year than by sharing a barbeque picnic lunch in the back yard before carrying a church banner or climbing on the trailer with the PCA Band for the Fire Muster Parade.
POTLUCKS FOR EVERY SEASON

Annual Meeting
How about a chili cook-off to encourage everyone to attend the annual budget/state of the church meeting?

Maundy Thursday
Each Maundy Thursday we gather around tables to share supper and communion on this special day.

Clean-Up Days
Spring and fall Clean-Up Days are held to spruce up the building and grounds around the church…AND to supply new stories and lots of laughter around the bagel and coffee table.

Deck the Halls with boughs of holly
“Deck the Halls with boughs of holly”…as we sing and decorate the sanctuary, narthex and fellowship hall. Of course we gather for a potluck lunch when we’re finished.

CELEBRATIONS OF OUR PAST 50 YEARS
2015 was our Jubilee year! We held 4 individual celebrations throughout the year to honor four of PCA’s “strengths”: mission, music, history and youth. We look forward to the next 50 years!

Mission
“Do justice, Love mercy, Walk humbly…” Worship and fellowship focused on food, shelter, and other justice issues PCA has been involved in over these 50 years.

Music
Sing to the Lord a new song…” or maybe even an old song, but the truth about the people of this congregation is they love their music! Five of our 7 choir directors returned and each conducted a special choir anthem for this service. Paul Berry, our organist, was specially honored for the gift of music he has shared with us for 40+ years. Of course this celebration was topped off with a delicious brunch in our Fellowship Hall.

History
Four of our 6 pastors, as well as 2 interim ministers, joined in celebrating the history and mission of PCA. Each pastor led part of the worship service as well as helped serve communion to their former congregation. Following the delicious salad luncheon, each of these former pastors, as well as our first pastor’s daughter, shared about their years of ministry at PCA. A slide show of photographs taken over our 50 year history added to the celebration.

Youth
“It only takes a spark to get a fire going, and soon all those around, will warm up to its glowing…” Whether our youth wore the bell bottoms of the 70s, the shoulder pads of the 80s, the jelly shoes of the 90s or the Livestrong bracelets of the 2000s, PCA youth have one thing in common…they enjoy being together with their PCA friends!

“…That’s how it is with God’s love, once you experience it, you want to sing, it’s fresh like spring, you want to pass it on.” Pass It On by Kurt Kaiser, 1969
